Skye's Emergency Medical Fund
Meet Skye. This beautiful girl ran into trouble when she was opened up to get spayed and it was discovered that she had already been spayed! The original vet had failed to apply the required tatoo that would have indicated her status!
As if that wasn't bad enough - her sutures then opened, she got infected, and had to be opened up yet AGAIN!!!!
Through all of this, even with a high fever, raging infection and open incision, Skye lavished kisses on everyone at the vet's office!
Unfortunately, her foster parents have been inundated with medical bills for poor Skye.
Please consider making a special donation towards Skye's Emergency Medical Fund. Even the smallest amount will go a long way!
Thank you for all of your support! CLICK AT THE TOP OF THE PAGE!!!
It's been a long since our Wendy's been gone. We miss her so much.
The strongest, fastest, bravest, gentlest, most loving creature we have ever known. She joins Katie (my "goldrush") ... and Mustard, and Bill, and Miss Kitty ... and probably Mia, too ... we loved them all ... sniff. Here's a short video of GiGi as a baby and Wendy ... very cute! Wendy lays down the law real fast!
THAT'S MY TOY!
There's a deafening emptiness that hangs over the house. The world just doesn't seem as exciting without them... a vivacious presence ... all of them. It's embarassing sometimes, how I respond when I think of them ... how much I miss them ... and how much I love the animals living with us now.
Please do something ... anything .... for the animals out there who are sick, or have no one to care for them ... those who are lost and abandoned, those who have been mistreated and unloved. It's just not fair what happens to these beautiful creatures.

Some really good news: Jenna is doing just great! She's has turned out to be a wonderful girl. Very smart and an absolute riot! She got caught in a tree chasing a squirrel! Luckily I was there but it was just so funny! I wish I had a camera at the time. She's smart (except for that tree incident) and gets along with other dogs and plays with the cats all the time. We are fortunate to have her with us.

And ... our niece, Rachel (and her family), adopted their first dog, a rescue named Minnie! GREAT!!! Welcome to the family! And Frank and Barbara rescued a real beauty ... Dalia.

And lots of our other friends are ADOPTING and RESCUING thier dogs and cats! So, if you can, reach out and donate to those rescue agencies who take them in and provide shelter and care. Adopt one if you can. See the Friends Indeed page for some listings.
